Without access to clean water, mothers can't cook, wash clothes or bathe their children properly. Children become more susceptible to contacting diarrhea and cholera, two waterborne diseases. Women and girls risk being attacked while walking miles to retrieving water for basic needs and farmers suffer failed crops from no irrigation and can't earn a living wage to feed and shelter their families. Your gift of $2,500 can help purchase a new well to provide safe and fresh water to a village of at least 1,500 people in Tanzania. The full cost of one of these wells is $5,000.
